You have no idea how much I needed this! I am a sinful drug addict who 4 years ago fell in love with Christ through the Orthodox Church. I so often find myself drifting away from God and ignoring his signs. In times like these I feel dirty, guilty and small. In times I spend with Jesus (I call them prayer streaks) I feel so pure, so lifted by the holy spirit, so full of love. I want to overcome my old life. I want to repent. But I so often am scared of admitting to God that I messed up because I am ashamed of myself. How often have I kneeled down crying, telling God it will never happen again yet I did it again just a week later. I am ashamed of myself and of how easily the d3vil makes me sin. God, I am sorry, you know that already. I have a habit of procrastinating. I know I want to get better. I went to rehab. I went to church. Yet I find myself betraying you over and over again… …Kyrie Eleison! Amin!

I have been deep diving into Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Joel, etc. and so much of this has echoed what God has been showing me. Ruth being a Moabite also goes back all the way to the promise God made with Abraham in regards to Lot. God said that He would protect Lot and his people, that even included the descendants from the forbidden children between Lot and his daughters when they took advantage of him. The Moabites are one of those descendants. God NEVER goes back on His word but He will also never let His name be mocked. The Moabites were put under judgement, but God did not destroy them because He knew that Ruth would help to satisfy so many things that have been written and were to come.

Wow, this is so uplifting it’s truly important to stay inspired. I feel such a deep sense of emptiness. It’s been two months since Jack left, and every day feels like an eternity without him. My mind is overwhelmed with memories of our time together. The thought that I’ll never experience the little things with him again is so painful. I’ve texted him so many times, pouring out how much I miss and want him back, but he hasn’t replied. All I can do now is hold onto the memories
